I have a lot of musical opportunities to look forward to: district chorus, Governor's school auditions,and auditions for 'Into the Woods'. I made it into the mixed choir for district 12, perhaps if I'm lucky I won't be sick for it this year. My score was mediocre(182/200), but it got me in,and considering my audition went horribly, I was literally shaking , my nerves were that bad, it's a decent number. Nothing to be proud of though. I'm only 18th out of the first sopranos, hardly what you could concede to be praise worthy. It went better than my freshmen year blunder in any case, and it's the best I've scored yet. Governor's school auditions are coming up the quickest. I've almost got my two songs down pat. Governor's school would look very nice on a college application. I'm most excited for 'Into the Woods', my school's next musical. I'm in love with the music; Sondheim is one of my favorite composers. I'm practically dying to play Cinderella, though it is terribly unlikely that I will get her role. I have some stiff competition, and I've never had a lead before, so my chances are slim. But, oh how I wish I could sing Cinderella's part.
I haven't drawn much, and not because of an absence of inspiration. I've had little motivation, rather. All I've really drawn are doodles here and there when I'm in a fleeting mood. When I'm feeling less like Rip Van Winkle, I'll try to make a little sketch dump of the semi decent pics.
